Payment Terms & Conditions
Clear payment terms before dispatch, repairs or project work.
These terms help Electroshape manage electrical, solar backup power, plumbing, geyser and technical service work clearly and professionally.
Diagnostic Inspection & Callout Terms
Some service requests may require a diagnostic inspection before repair work, parts, materials or project scope can be confirmed.
Diagnostic inspections may apply to electrical faults, DB boards, inverter issues, backup power systems, geysers, heating equipment, plumbing concerns and industrial control system faults.
Payment confirmation for the applicable diagnostic inspection, emergency callout, travel or service fee may be required before dispatch.
Payment Before Dispatch
Where upfront payment is required, no callout, diagnostic inspection, emergency attendance or technician dispatch will be booked, scheduled or attended until payment has been received and confirmed.
Payment may be accepted by approved online payment method, EFT, Yoco, card machine or another method confirmed by Electroshape.
Payment Upon Fault Find & Repairs
Once the issue has been inspected or identified, the diagnostic inspection service shall be deemed rendered.
If repair work, replacement parts, labour, materials or additional work are required, these will be quoted separately unless expressly included in writing.
Any approved repair work, labour, parts or materials may require upfront payment before work begins.
Quotes, Estimates & Additional Work
Quotes and estimates are based on the visible or supplied information available at the time of assessment.
Hidden defects, unsafe installations, additional faults, unavailable parts, access limitations or site conditions may result in additional costs.
Additional work outside the original quote must be approved before proceeding.
Travel, Service Areas & Outlying Locations
Electroshape services Cape Town and surrounding areas. Standard service areas may differ depending on technician availability, service type and job urgency.
Locations outside standard service areas may incur additional travel, petrol or time-related charges.
These charges may be payable before dispatch or on site via approved payment method.
Emergency & After-Hours Work
Emergency and after-hours work is intended for urgent service issues requiring prompt attention.
Response times may vary depending on demand, technician availability, traffic, weather, safety risks, prior bookings and the nature of the emergency.
Emergency inspections, diagnostics, labour, travel or repairs may be charged at different rates from standard daytime work.
Materials, Parts & Ownership of Goods
Materials, parts, equipment and goods supplied for a job remain the property of Electroshape until all amounts due for that job, project or related invoice have been paid in full.
Risk in materials or equipment may pass to the client once delivered to site, installed or handed over.
Customer-supplied parts are not covered by Electroshape’s parts warranty and may affect workmanship or system reliability.
Overdue Invoices & Non-Payment
Failure to settle any due amount by the required date may result in immediate suspension of further work, cancellation of dispatch, withholding of documents, or recovery action where lawful.
- 30 Days Overdue: Reminder notice may be sent and late fees may apply.
- 60 Days Overdue: Further notice may be issued and the account may be escalated.
- 90 Days Overdue: The account may be handed over for debt collection or legal recovery where lawful.
Legal Recovery, Collection Costs & Breach
Where payment remains unresolved, Electroshape may pursue lawful recovery options, including debt collection, legal proceedings or other remedies available under South African law.
Legal fees, tracing fees, collection commission, court costs and related recovery expenses may be added to the outstanding amount where legally permitted.
Warranty Terms
Workmanship warranties may apply to qualifying work performed by Electroshape. Warranty coverage does not apply to faults caused by misuse, third-party tampering, unsafe existing installations, power surges, lightning, water damage, municipal supply issues, load shedding, poor maintenance or customer-supplied materials.
Manufacturer warranties on parts or equipment depend on the supplier or manufacturer terms applicable to those goods.
Health, Safety & Site Access
Clients must provide safe, lawful and reasonable access to the property, work area, electrical boards, plumbing points, geysers, inverters, machinery or equipment requiring inspection.
Work may be delayed, refused or postponed where unsafe conditions exist, including dangerous wiring, unsafe roofs, restricted access, aggressive animals, water hazards, structural risks or other unsafe work environments.
Liability Limitations
Electroshape is not liable for losses or damages caused by pre-existing faults, unsafe installations, hidden defects, faulty appliances, misuse, customer-supplied parts, third-party work, power instability, municipal supply issues, lightning, storms, load shedding or acts outside Electroshape’s control.
Where legally applicable, liability may be limited to the value of the specific work performed and invoiced.

By contacting Electroshape, requesting dispatch, accepting a quote, making payment, approving work, booking a diagnostic inspection or allowing work to proceed, the client accepts these payment terms and conditions.
